Part of Tavar Zawacki’s Interplay series, this study explores the tension between controlled structure and uncontrolled behavior.

The work begins with intention, measurement, and composition. Once the paint is set in motion, it drags, hesitates, pools, fades, stutters, and settles in ways that cannot be fully anticipated. These marks become part of the decision-making process, allowing the painting to influence what follows.

Interplay exists between precision and unpredictability, stillness and movement, intention and response.
